About Us – Your Dentist in Sand Springs, OK
Richard L. Brown, Jr., DDS, FACD, FAGD, FPFA, FIADFE
Dr. Richard Brown Jr. was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma, and raised in Barstow, California, where he graduated from high school. After high school he returned to Oklahoma to attend Northeastern State University, where he was a college golfer and attained a B.S. degree, and then the University of Oklahoma where he received a DDS degree.
Upon graduation, Dr. Brown attended a one-year residency in General Dentistry and served five years as a member of the United States Army.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, a Fellow of the International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics, member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association, the Tulsa County Dental Society, the Tulsa County Endo Study Club, Charter member of Oklahoma Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry where he served on the Executive Board, and previously served as President of the Comanche County Dental Society, the Tulsa County Endo Study Club, and the Tulsa County Dental Society. In addition, he served as Chairman of Professional Development and Continuing Education for Tulsa County and Delegate to the Oklahoma Dental Association, and well as Tulsa County District Trustee to the ODA and liaison to the Membership Committee. Dr. Brown additionally also served on the Advisory Board for Platt College for Dental Education. Presently Dr. Brown is on the Editorial Board of Reality Publishing.
Dr. Brown is a lifetime member of the California Scholarship Federation, Beta Beta Beta Honorary Biological Society, and named as Distinguished Greek of America, and Outstanding Young Men of America. In addition, he was named Outstanding Male Greek on campus as an undergraduate. He has lectured and presented table clinics to the ADA, ODA, Hinman Dental Meeting, Garmish Dental Meeting, Tulsa County Dental Society, Green Country Dental Society, Rogers County Dental society, Tulsa Endodontic Study Club, Platt College, Army DENTAC’s, Red Cross programs, dental schools, and local dental societies and organizations on various dental topics. Dr. Brown and his wife Beth have three children: a daughter, Aaryn, and two sons, Ian and Owen and are members of the Broadway Baptist Church of Sand Springs. There he has been a Sunday school teacher, Director of Young Adults, and a substitute leader for evening meetings. He is an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. He has completed a Medical Mission to Nicaragua and served as Waste Management Lead for OK Mission of Mercy 2010 and continues to participate yearly in this event. Dr. Brown believes that our greatest gifts are those we leave to others: whether it be a smile, a skill, a kind word, or a thought.
Dr. Andrew Bubert, DDS
Dr. Andrew Bubert grew up in Tulsa where he graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He then attended the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology and Biomedical Sciences and minored in Psychology.
Dr. Bubert then attended the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center where he earned a Masters in Public Health specializing in Health Administration and Policy. He was selected into the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health upon completing the degree.
After completing his Masters in Public Health, Dr. Bubert returned to Tulsa where he earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa. After a short duration in the workforce, he decided to pursue a career in dentistry.
Dr. Bubert received his Dental Degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. He looks forward to getting to know you and taking care of your dental needs.
